Roof Update

We are almost there... Wahoo! The Boys got really far this week on it Thanks again Brian Dad V and Tyler, oh and Kerria for helping this week!
One more day and we will be done!

Our Dirty Boys

This was the first Saturday night we didn't get done till about 10 pm! Ashley and I quit at about 8 due to the fact we both started breaking out with rashes.... so after a long hard day of labor Tyler Brian and Kyle were ready for sleep and Ice cream!

You have GERD?

So as many know my health has always been not so hot and 3 years ago I found out I had acid reflux... well the drugs they gave me i was allergic to so I just stopped taking them and went on with life and heart burn.... Finally Kyle decided that I needed to do something about it so I have gone to the doctors and today I got the results...
I have GERD which led to chronic esophagitis wahoo sounds fun...
But its better then what they thought they thought I had Esophageal cancer so thankfully I am cancer free...
So now for the solution.... I have many sample drugs to try and see what will work... lets just hope I don't have my reaction like I had to Protonix..... We shall see if I am then its to the operating table for me so my acid issue doesn't develop into cancer which is that big fear my Doctors have

Feeling Crafty?

So since I wasn't allowed to help on the roof on saturday I decided to make it a day of work just the same just fun work... So I hung up some more pictures in our bedroom and guest bedroom.... and thenwent on to make so cute curtains for Kyle's Office andour Lundry room and Kitchen then Sunday Aly Darcy and me (with some help from kyle) Made me a cute sign using Aly's awesome toy the Cricut I love it! Here are the results....

The curtains aren't really in the rods or anything I just hung it to see how it looked so I know its really off center no worries....


They were made by a shower curtain.... actually I loved the material and the lines in them so I cut up a 19 dollar shower curtain then bought some white ribbon and tied little bows in it so it bring som natural light but not everyone can see in side and so he does have a glare on his computer! I am loving them

Our Big Project

Well as some may know the day of my endowments not only did me and Kyle crash into each other but when we came to the house before heading to the temple our roof had started to leak... So that night Kyle and the Boys got up there with a tarp and fixed our roof so it would last till the end of the winter...Well in March we went and bought all the supplies and in April due to two hail storms the lovely wind and rain the roof started to leak again so... The first weekend of sun we got Kyle started ripping off our roof and we are almost to the 2 week mark....

Wednesday May 6th Kyle started by trying out his new tools he bought that make tearing off shingles easy... we had asphalt and shake shingles on this roof so it was a task a big one... So the first night he had about half of the back off then Thursday he finished the back... Friday we had Dad V Jeremy Tyler Ashley Brian and Kerria all over helping.... and we the west side and half of the front torn off then Saturday we had Dad V Jeremy Tyler Ashley Brian and Ryan all over to help us and we got half the roof sheeted with Ply wood and half taken off....

Then thankfully Sunday was a day of rest I was so sore I was struggling getting up the stairs in our church and then Monday we ran so errands and then we were back up on Tuesday with Mike and Mark Butler and Brian.... with all of them we pretty much had the roof sheeted and Wednesday when I was at young women's they started laying down the ice and water shield and all that Jazz.... So Thursday was another day of rest.... and The Brian and his Daddy were back here on Friday to help start the first layer of shingles.... Saturday was the day we thought were were going to get this thing finished but due to black tar paper and one heck of a hot sun pounding down on them... they got back of the roof finished and a few rows on the sides.... So needless to say we have more work cut out for us... Well I should say them I was a good little helper tearing off and picking up but Kyle doesn't allow me on the roof to help since now we have ply wood I am more prone to fall off the roof then to stay on like a good little girl... so I watch take pictures and feed them that about all I am good for these days....

Finally!

I happy happy to report that after waiting for a long time me and Kyle finally have a computer! Wahoo! Be expecting a huge update when I get all our pictures uploaded!
